Hi,  I came across your web site yesterday after doing a google search for the Old Railway Station in East Anstey.  My grandfather bought the station is the late 80's and lived there for 7 years between 1987/88 and 1994.  As a family my parents, 3 bothers and i spent many a summer holidays there.  We all had no idea that it had appeared in a film and my grand father is fairly excited to hear!  I have never heard nor seen 'The Halfway House' but would be interested to see it.  We have lots of photographs of the interior and exterior, if you would like me to email any over let me know.

Your website is incredible. The shots from Dead of Night, and your own contemporary shots - right up my street. I'm a writer and do the same thing in many of the articles i write. I'd LOVE to get hold of a copy of The Halfway House. How do I do that? Thank you - Vicky x

Re Tawny Pipit.. More excellent work Carlito, another one of my favourite b/w classic films, along with Dead of night and Halfway House...used to watch these many times on TV in the mid sixties........ Thanks again, Alan.

i first saw this film at least thirty years ago on tv one afternoon-i was fascinated by the story as i am a bit of a psychic as was my mother and grandmother, and i still would watch it again and again if a copy is available-the reason i looked the film up on the internet and consequently found your website is that i was listening to radio 3 today and the composer of the week is lord berners and guess what they played this morning his music to the film halfway house!best wishes to you and your endeavours
